Heritage Standard Bronze Turkeys
The Standard Bronze Turkey is a Heritage breed turkey developed by crossing domestic turkeys brought to the Americas by European colonists with Eastern Wild Turkeys.
Like their wild turkey ancestors, they are coppery-bronze in color with a gorgeous metallic sheen. Babies are tan and darker brown with stripes down their head and back.
Heritage Standard Bronze turkeys are able to breed naturally. They are long-lived, slow-growing, and their meat is delicious. The standard weight for toms is twenty-five pounds and for hens is sixteen pounds.
